Join us to worship the Lord this Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 10:00 am. Pastor Brett Spalding’s message is “Living Life in Jesus.” Our scriptures include Isaiah 61:1-7, 2 Corinthians 7:8-13, and Matthew 5:1-12.

Synopsis: Today we begin exploring Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount”. Jesus delivered this sermon early in His public ministry. This sermon was not another list of laws we should live by, but truly new teaching. Jesus wanted people to see how truly different it is for one to live in the grace and mercy of the Kingdom of God.

The first twelve verses of the Sermon on the Mount are known as the Beatitudes. Some refer to them as the “bless-eds”. We will focus on these for the first couple of weeks.

Worship the Lord with us on Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026. Pastor Brett’s topic is “Pentecost,” and our scriptures include Joel 2:28-32, Numbers 11:24-30, and Acts 2:1-41.

Synopsis: The events of our passage today from Acts 2 is prophesied by Joel centuries before and by Jesus just prior to His ascension.  Jesus had told His disciples to stay in Jerusalem, don’t go fishing, stay here and wait for the gift that I and my Father have promised to you.  They stayed in Jerusalem, praying and worshiping the Lord.  We’ll look at the events of that day and remind ourselves what it means for us today.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. Pastor Brett Spalding’s topic is “Jesus’ Prayer,” with scriptures that include 1 Peter 5:6-11, Acts 1:6-14, and John 17:1-21.

Synopsis: On this final Sunday of the Easter Season, we hear Jesus’ prayer for His glorification and for His followers. We hear Jesus’ promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit and the ministry to which all believers are called. Jesus’ prayer tells us what He started will come to pass on earth, through believers who have kept His Word.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Pastor Brett Spalding’s topic is “The Evangelist.” Our scriptures include Isaiah 55:1-8, John 4:1-26, and John 4:27-42.

Synopsis: A while back we explored Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus, a prominent and powerful Jewish leader. One might think of him as being an expert in God’s work. Today we are looking at the exact opposite, a Samaritan woman, who could best be described as an outcast among outcasts. Her own people want nothing to do with her; she must draw water in the heat of the day. Despite all this, she is the one Jesus first person that Jesus chooses to reveal His true identity to. This Mother’s Day, we will look at this unlikely evangelist.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Pastor Brett Spalding’s topic is “Something to Die For and Something to Live For.” Our scriptures include Psalm 31:1-5, 1 Peter 2:2-10, and Acts 7:55-60.

Synopsis: Acts 7 is truly a reminder that when we are baptized into death like Jesus and also baptized into a life like Jesus. This is a life truly worthy of dying for. We’ll look at these three passages and how God views us in light of faith.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 10 a.m. Pastor Brett’s topic is “What About Healing?” Our scriptures include Psalm 16:7-11, Mark 2:1-7, John 5:1-13, and John 5:14-27.

Synopsis: Our two passages today involve healing. One shows a man with many friends and a great deal of faith in Jesus. The other passage shows a man alone and without any faith in Jesus. Both are healed. In one passage, it is clear the man wants to be healed, in the other, Jesus must ask. We’ll explore both these passages and see what God wants to teach us.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 10 a.m. Pastor Brett’s topic is “Do You Know Jesus?” Our scriptures include Isaiah 53:1-7, Luke 24:13-27, and Luke 24:28-35.

Synopsis: I remember studying this passage several years ago and one of the commentators asked the question, “Do you know Jesus?” He framed the question in the context of the disciples. They seemed to know a lot about Jesus but didn’t really know Him. This question led me to look at my faith in Jesus very differently. This also changed the way I teach and hopefully preach. Today we’ll look at what Jesus wanted the disciples to live out in their life and not just know.

Worship the Lord with us on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 10 a.m. Pastor Brett’s topic is “Faith in the Midst of Doubt.” Our scriptures include Psalm 16:1-6, 1 Peter 1:3-9, and John 20:19-31.

Synopsis: It is Sunday evening and Jesus’ disciples are gathered in the upper room behind locked doors for fear of the Jews. They are scared; they’ve watched from a distance as Jesus was crucified and they know that it will only be a matter of time before they suffer a similar fate. Fear and uncertainty have gripped them. They are experiencing terrible grief over Jesus’ death and I’m sure all of them feel bad at how they left Jesus abandoned. Peter must have been feeling especially bad as he verbally denied knowing Jesus three times.
