Synopsis: Today we see Jesus make His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, accepting and embracing His identity as Messiah. Prior to this day Jesus wanted all this kept secret. In John 6:15, Jesus even withdrew from the people when they tried to crown Him King. While the disciples were still basking in the glow of the parade, imagining what exciting and powerful role they might have in the new kingdom, Jesus explains what is really going to bring about His kingdom and the role they are going to play in it. It is the same role Jesus desires for us to play as well.
